In the past month, the central region of our country has been hit by dozens of major storms in a row, causing the worst floods and landslides in the past 100 years. Thousands of homes were destroyed, crops were completely destroyed, and people who were already vulnerable were left empty-handed. The loss of life and property is immeasurable. On November 8th and 9th, responding to and supporting the call to the central region, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of Mernus Investment Joint Stock Company joined a volunteer group called "Nghia Central Province". ”, directly to the locations heavily affected by floods in Ha Tinh province and witnessed first-hand the terrible devastation of natural disasters on the people here. Each household has a heartbreaking story of loss and resilience.
This is a charity trip organized by the Ha Giang Provincial Police Youth Union in collaboration with the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Youth Union and benefactors across the country. The volunteer delegation visited and gave gifts to officials and people affected by rain and floods in Ha Tinh province, contributing part of their ability to join hands with the Central people to overcome adversity.
At the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Department, the delegation visited, shared and presented 10 gifts, each worth 3 million VND, to Ha Tinh province police officers and soldiers who suffered heavy damage due to floods.
Continuing the journey, the Ha Giang Provincial Police Delegation and Mernus Investment Joint Stock Company visited, encouraged and gave gifts to support people in the communes of Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh. The delegation gave 10 water purifiers worth 80 million VND; 20,000 notebooks, 1,400 ballpoint pens worth 164 million VND for 3 schools in Cam Xuyen district; awarded 100 gifts worth 30 million VND to 100 families.
This is a meaningful volunteer program, partially supporting both spiritually and materially for Ha Tinh people after recent losses. This is also a great source of spiritual encouragement for officials and people of Ha Tinh province, showing solidarity and joining hands with the people of Central Vietnam to face natural disasters of enterprises in general and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan in particular.
